Peachy Keen

This fun little necklace was inspired by a beautiful color combination that I saw at a craft fair.  I went on a girl day with some beautiful ladies from our church, and saw these two colors decorating someone's display table.   The blue of the beads is lovely and the flower adds something special to this unique little necklace.

Sweet Sailor Necklace

This necklace reminds me of those sweet little sailor dresses we all wore as little girls.  This necklace is meant to be worn just a tad longer than a choker.  It has an adjustable clasp in back to fit to your own neck. The little red polka dot bead is a charming vintage lucite bead.   I love the navy blue beads, they have depth and sparkle just the right amount!  As always the pay pal button is below and you can e-mail me with delivery information.

Water Lily

Water Lily

Trying to rush to post this necklace before we start our school day :)!!!  This is a little different than most of the jewelry I make, but I really love the water feeling it gives.  It reminds me of a lily pad on a pretty blue green pond, hence the name.   The price for this piece is $16.00 .  As always there is an option for shipping.  Just let me know through e-mail  what you need!  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

New Life Treasure

I wanted to take an opportunity to share why this Blog is named New Life Treasures.   There are so many pictures of biblical truth in everyday life.   Many of the jewelry pieces I create are made using vintage elements.  I love the picture it creates.  God takes us when we are sinful, broken,  and worthless and through Christ makes us into a new creation.  It is an awesome truth that I am reminded of when  I wear my jewelry.   While not all of the crafts I create fit this mold, many of them do.  This charming bracelet is one of those pieces.  This bracelet is made with vintage glass beads called carnival glass.   It is 8 inches long and is adjustable to fit your own wrist.   It is priced at $12.00 and if you are nearby and would like to receive it in person you can e-mail me.  If you are farther away just e-mail me your address and I will send it out as soon as possible  .  Just choose the appropriate payment option and let me know.  Thanks so very much!

The Reason For a Blog: Crafting for the Kingdom

This year Brian will again be going to Uganda on a mission trip.  It is his third opportunity to go and we are both thrilled and excited that he has a chance to return.  One of Brian's favorite things about going to Uganda is interacting with the pastors of the local churches there.   Many of the translators are pastors from villages nearby.  Here is a picture of Brian praying for the new pastor of  the church that was planted last year.  One of the highlights of Brian's trip was visiting the Bible school where pastors go to be trained.

Brian raises support through letters but in years past there has always been a deficit from what was needed and what was raised.  That is where this blog comes in.  I love to make things.  I enjoy using my hands to make fun, unique, and pretty things.  I have lost count of all of the different crafts that I have "dabbled" in over the years.   So now I am going to try and put that interest to good use.  I am planning on selling my jewelry and possible a few other craft projects on this blog.  All of the money earned will be going to Brian's trip.  I am in a season of life where a mission trip isn't possible for me.  I may not be able to go but I would love to be a part of what God is doing in Uganda and this is one way to make that happen...crafting for the Kingdom.  So... more to come and hopefully I'll have some pieces to sell soon :)!!!!
